Zornhau is a unique technology in Age of Empires IV: The Sultans Ascend available to the Order of the Dragon that can be researched at the Meinwerk Palace landmark starting in the Castle Age. It grants Gilded Landsknechts a bleed effect on their melee attack that causes 2 damage per second for 10 seconds. It also replaces the standard Zweihander on the unit model with a gilded halberd weapon. Since it is unique to the Meinwerk Palace, it cannot be researched if advancing to the Feudal Age with the Aachen Chapel.

- Originally, Zornhau had a base cost 100 food, 250 gold, resulting in a total cost of 60 food, 150 gold after the Meinwerk Palace discount. With update 10.0.576, the base cost was increased to 150 food, 350 gold, and the Meinwerk Palace discount was increased from 40% to 50%, resulting in a final cost of 75 food, 175 gold
- Originally, the Meinwerk Palace research speed bonus was +40%, resulting in a research time of 43 seconds. With update 10.0.576, this bonus was increased to +50%, resulting in a research time of 40 seconds (the base research time remained the same).
