Fiery Deflector (Charged): Temporarily increases its own and nearby friendly units' armor. (-25% hack and pierce vulnerabilities for all friendly units in range 5 for 5 seconds. Recharge time: 30 seconds)
Healing Descent (Active, requires Song of Midsummer): Rapidly regenerates hitpoints while landed on the ground. (Takes 2 seconds to land, heals 40 HP/s for 5 seconds (even if at full hit points), rises for 2 seconds while still healing, thus totally healing 280 hit points, can be used back to back without cooldown, becomes vulnerable to ground effects and hand attacks while landed)
Soaring Ascension (Passive, requires Song of Midsummer): Unit can fly. (Takes to the skies as soon as Healing Descent completes)
Attacks[]
The attack information as displayed in the user interface in the game, and in the infobox on this page, is merely an easy-to-read simplification of the actual attack mechanism. The actual mechanics of its attack vs. non-flying units are:
It drops a small fireball on the target, which immediately deals 20 hack damage (2× vs. myth units, 0.25× vs. heroes) to all enemies in an area of 4. This attack also hits moving enemies, has a reload time of 4 seconds, and a range of 5.
The fireball turns into an area hazard, which lingers in the spot for 4 seconds.
The area hazard deals 20 hack damage per second (2× vs. myth units, 0.25× vs. heroes) to all enemies in an area of 4 for its duration.
Against enemy flying units, it simply breathes fire like the Phoenix or Nidhogg, with different attack attributes as stated in the infobox. The overall attack value is lesser compared to the regular attack, but it has a larger Area of Effect.

Myth technologies[]
Specific[]
Song of Midsummer: +25% hit points; enables Healing Descent which regenerates 40 hit points/s when landed.
The Zhuque uses its wings to create fire tornadoes that damage enemy units caught in it. While it is slow to attack, doing damage every three seconds, its fire tornadoes inflict a lot of hack damage. The fire tornadoes can be used to disperse enemy troops and allow the player's own units to pick off individual units more easily. Additionally, the Zhuque's fire tornadoes can also tear through enemy buildings, siege ships, and even myth units. Another notable trait of the Zhuque is that it can temporarily conjure a fiery shield in front of itself and nearby allied units, boosting armor values. This can help keep allied units alive for longer during heated battles, especially when a Titan is involved.
Zhurong's Song of Midsummer upgrade makes the Zhuque have even more hit points and gain the ability to land on the ground. When on the ground, it will rapidly regenerate its hit points, allowing it to recover after having received a lot of damage. A Sage or other allied healer unit can also further speed up the Zhuque's healing process. However, note that it becomes vulnerable to melee units when on the ground. It also cannot land on water that is too deep for land units to walk through.
As with all myth units, the Zhuque is most strongly countered by heroes. When in the air, it can only be attacked by ranged units, leaving ranged heroes the best counter to Zhuques in this case. Failing that, ranged myth units are also viable, as are other flying units capable of combat like the Qinglong, Phoenix, and Stymphalian Bird.
Zhuque, also known as the Vermilion Bird, is a mythical creature in Chinese mythology that represents the South and the summer season. In many legends, it is also a symbol of the sun.
