Zeus is a Greek major god who focuses on infantry and heroes.

Attributes[]

Myrmidon: Infantry unit whose attacks deal divine damage, ignoring enemy armor values.

Bonuses:
- Starts with 15 favor and has a maximum favor of 200 instead.
- Villagers generate favor 37.5% faster.
- Hoplites move 12% faster.
- Infantry units do double damage to buildings.
Odysseus is available in the Classical Age, and Heracles is available in the Heroic Age.

With patch 2.0, Zeus Villagers gather favor 25% faster.
With patch 2.7, Zeus Villagers gather favor 20% faster and Zeus starts with 10 favor.

Bonuses changed to:
- Starts with 10 favor.
- Gains Favor 20% faster.
- Myth units cost 1 less population.
- Infantry do +50% damage to buildings.
- Hoplites move 15% faster.
Odysseus is available in the Heroic Age, and Heracles is available in the Classical Age.

Zeus is the only major god with access to the minor god Hera.
- He is, along with Freyr, the only major god to have exclusive access to a minor god. Prior to the Freyr Gods Pack, this distinction was shared with Loki, who had exclusive access to Hel.
Zeus was the only major god available in the demo.
According to the Age of Mythology guide book, Zeus players are said to start with 25 favor. However, this is incorrect, as in the release version of the game they actually started with 15 favor.
