—Age of Empires IV description |
Yves Charruel is a heavy melee infantry leader who appears in The Combat of the Thirty, the first scenario of the The Hundred Years War campaign of Age of Empires IV. He is one of the French champions that can be recruited by the player. His appearance is nearly identical to that of the campaign version of the French Man-at-Arms, which has the same shield as the standard Royal Knight. Although he appears to wield a sword, he is described as carrying a mace.
Ability[]
- Armor (Active): Rallies all units within a 6.25-tile radius to increase their melee armor by 13 for 5 seconds, and by 3 for an additional 10 seconds. Has a 45 second cooldown which begins immediately after using the ability.
Campaign appearances[]
The Hundred Years War[]
- The Combat of the Thirty: Yves Charruel initial waits alone on the bridge leading to the tourney grounds and challenges Jean de Beaumanoir to duel when the latter approaches. After taking some damage, he graciously concedes defeat and agrees to join de Beaumanoir's party. If chosen to join de Beaumanoir in the final combat, he brings with him nine Men-at-Arms.
