The White Wolf is an exclusive Wolf of the Circle of Ossus featured in the campaign of Age of Empires III.
Overview[]
Besides the White Wolf's icon having a lighter fur tone, they have the same basic in-game model as the Wolf and Coyote. Unlike its equivalent, it does not have the pet tag. The White Wolf is also accessible in the Scenario Editor under the Units category, as "SPC White Wolf".
Campaign appearances[]
The White Wolf appears in The Boneguard's Lair, appearing in packs several times to attack Amelia Black's army while she searches for Beaumont and his men to get them out of the caves. The Guardian version also appears as Treasure guardian in this same scenario and also in Journey Through the Andes.
In the campaign cinematic "Back to Florida" that precedes The Lost Spanish Gold, two White Wolves appear with some Boneguard Musketeers while the Seminole prisoner is interrogated by a Boneguard Minion.
The White Wolf makes another appearance in in the Steel campaign cinematic "Cooper's Stand", where the French trapper Pierre Beaumont lures Amelia into a trap in the Everglades. Major Cooper tries to convince Beaumont to surrender, but Beaumont orders his two White Wolves to attack, referring them as "Mes loups", French for "My wolves". Cooper kills off one of the wolves before being mauled to death by the second wolf. Their color refers to the Circle of Ossus, like those seen in Act I.
The White Wolves are also in Beaumont's men trap on the island of Havana in Last Stand of the Boneguard, along with some Boneguard Musketeers.
