Whistling Arrows is a unique technology in Age of Empires IV available to the Mongols that can be researched at the Ovoo starting in the Feudal Age. It increases the Khan's Signal Arrow duration by 5 seconds and range by 2 tiles.
Whistling Arrows (Improved): additionally costs 175 stone, increases the Khan's Signal Arrow duration by 7 seconds and range by 3 tiles. If Whistling Arrows was already researched, increases the Khan's Signal Arrow duration by 2 seconds and range by 1 tiles
Changelog[]
- Originally, Whistling Arrows cost 100 food, 250 gold and the improved version cost an extra 350 stone. With update 6.0.878, the cost was reduced to 50 food, 125 gold and the improved cost to an extra 175 stone.
Campaign version[]
Because the campaigns have not been rebalanced since the release of the game, Whistling Arrows has different stats there:
- It costs 25 food, 200 gold
- It improves the Khan's signal arrow duration by +15 seconds and range by +2 tiles
- It is researched at the Outpost, not the Ovoo
- The improved version costs an additional 225 stone and takes 90 seconds to research. It increases the Khan's signal arrow duration by an additional 4 seconds and range by 1 tile (for a total of +19 seconds and +3 tiles)
