The Warwolf Trebuchet is a hero Trebuchet in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Lords of the West. It is found in the Hammer of the Scots scenario of the Edward Longshanks campaign and is also available in the Scenario Editor. It is based on the Warwolf, supposedly the largest trebuchet ever made, used in the siege of Stirling Castle. The Briton unique technology, Warwolf, is also based on that trebuchet.
Unlike the other two hero Trebuchets, Bad Neighbor and God's Own Sling, which have several peculiarities, the Warwolf Trebuchet operates more similarly to regular Trebuchets:
- While Bad Neighbor and God's Own Sling only have 8 pierce armor when unpacked (the same as when packed), the Warwolf Trebuchet has 200 pierce armor when unpacked (regular Trebuchets have 150).
- Unlike what happens with Bad Neighbor and God's Own Sling, the packed and unpacked versions of the Warwolf Trebuchet have the same hit points.
Campaign appearances[]
Edward Longshanks[]
- Hammer of the Scots: The English will build the Warwolf Trebuchet in order to break Stirling's defenses, after gathering the necessary resources for its development and construction.
Trivia[]
- The range of 20 (shared with the other two hero Trebuchets, God's Own Sling and Bad Neighbor) is unparalleled in the game.
- The Warwolf Trebuchet is the only hero siege unit that was not introduced in The Age of Kings, instead being introduced in Lords of the West.
