Wallenstein's Contracts is a technology in Age of Empires III that is unique to the Germans and can be researched at the Church once the Fortress Age is reached and the Treaty of Westphalia Home City Card has been sent. Once researched, it reduces mercenary cost by 15% and train time by 10%, and also halves the coin cost from German Home City mercenary shipments except infinite and TEAM cards.

Wallenstein's Contracts allows a German player to liberally ship mercenary armies to overwhelm their opponents and saves them up to 4,125 coin.

  • Wallenstein's Contracts costs 3,000 coin and the description now notes that Wallenstein's Contracts does not affect infinitely-repeatable mercenary cards.
  • With update 15.30007, Wallenstein's Contracts reduces the cost and training time of mercenaries and mercenary shipments, instead of making mercenary shipments free, and its cost was changed from 3,000 coin to 1,500.
