Strategy[]
These Walking Woods have more in common with Hel's Nidhogg than their Age of Mythologycounterparts. Players can select on any tile to summon these units rather than just on trees. They also have full control over the Walking Woods, making it harder for enemies to defeat. Walking Woods are fast for siege units and Hel's bonus makes them even faster. Players can summon them anywhere to surprise the enemy, have it ravage farms or other buildings, and quickly move on to its next target. The Walking Woods are not invincible however and if overwhelmed, will die for good. This will be no easy task given its high HP and especially high defense, which is boosted up to 85 on forest tiles (90 for Baldr worshipers). In a sense, this makes the Walking Woods a living, moving wall. Although it is not airborne like Nidhogg, it can be healed by Priests and Valkyries, giving it the option retreating to them when necessary rather than all the way to the player's base.
Trivia[]
The Walking Woods design may have been inspired by the concept art of their Age of Mythology counterpart.
