Veteran Chiliarchs is a unique technology in Chronicles: Alexander the Great available to the Macedonians at the Fort upon reaching the Classical Age. Once researched, it makes Recruitment Doctrines have approximately 33% better effects.

The player can research only either Veteran Chiliarchs or Ends of the World. Once either is chosen, the option to research the other is removed.

Effects

The doctrine effects change to:

• Conscript Recruitment: Units cost -20% food and wood, but have +35% training time.
• Mercenary Recruitment: Units have -57% training time, but cost 7% more food and wood.
