If you are looking for the meaning of tigui, you should preferable not use google. It spies on you, or at least it is creepy. I duckduckgo-ed -or duckduckwent on Tigui Malian and I found a wikipedia page about the Malian empire were the word tigui is used. From my understanding I guess Tigui could mean something as Master or more something in the sense of 'head of'. I didn't really had the time to research it, If you are intersted, maybe the wikipedia page could help you to get started. It seems like tigui is a word in the language of the medieval malinese and maybe using some dictionary could be usefull. Google translate does as far as I know not incorporate any Malinese Language. Categories Edit

Hello! Recently you added a lot of categories to articles, a couple of things on that: Firstly, if you create a category, please make sure to use the correct spelling (we capitalize most words in categories), because errors there create a lot of work. Secondly, please make sure a category is really helpful and/or necessary. If you are not sure about that, just ask around by starting a blog or write a comment on an article you think needs a new category. And lastly, when you create a category page, do not forget to actually create it (the category page itself). You can easily do that by clicking the category at the bottom of any assigned page. I removed both categories you just created because I deem they are neither necessary nor particularly helpful. The AoM expansion units are covered in the 'Tale of the Dragon' and 'The Titans' category, and for the AoE II units, I think it makes more sense to have such categories ('The Conquerors', 'The African Kingdoms', ect.) as well instead of having one for just the units. Also please keep in mind that categories are intended to help and organize, so we do not need a category for everything that is loosely linked. MasterBroccoli (talk) 06:24, April 4, 2017 (UTC)

In order to use templates, double curly brackets must be used. What this does, is that it creates a "copy" of the name of the page in the brackets & pastes that into whatever place you desire. For example, to use Template:Test Template and put that into your sandbox, simply type in {{Test Template}}.

I know. I tried it. I will probably still need help with some things eventually, though. But I appreciate the help. UnofficialGameExpert78 (talk) 19:59, November 4, 2017 (UTC)

The template on your Sandbox might be very useful in the near future. It seems you have mastered the basics of template creation! Congrats! Now, if you wish to improve, or design your own portal, it might help to copy everything on our main page, paste it onto your Sandbox and see how you can improve it. I'd be happy to give you some advice.

I didn't really intend to use that template as the actual fanon page template. That was just a test. But the wording is similar because I wanted to see the best way to word it. UnofficialGameExpert78 (talk) 23:13, November 6, 2017 (UTC)
I would like to know how to change the items in the "Around the Wiki" and "Featured Article" sections for the main page on my sandbox. UnofficialGameExpert78 (talk) 12:40, November 7, 2017 (UTC)
Hi, your project looks very promising. Great job here! One thing, before changing the specifics, there is one thing I'm interested in doing first. That is, switching the red and gold colors. Shifting colors can be a useful way to inform the reader that this new homepage will focus on a dramatically different topic than the original one about official information. Do you think this is something you can do yourself, or do you want me to do that instead?
  X~Calibur95   Lets go to Facebook!   19:11,11/7/2017    9,925
If you give me the color ID for gold, I can do it myself, I think. I would prefer if you changed the two items mentioned, since I did not see any indication of where they come from in the source code.   UnofficialGameExpert78 (talk) 21:59, November 7, 2017 (UTC)
Before changing the colors, I have created new templates for the purpose of this new main page. I would like to comment that we don't need to keep the original format, as long as the end result looks pretty, I'm all for that design. Anyway, here are the templates that are used on your sandbox.
Here are the colors used:
  • Dark red = #A00 (represents war & bloodshed, introduced by KazMx)
  • Goldish tan = #C4A24A (represents wealth & economy, introduced by X~Calibur95 DunBanner)
It might help to type in Ctrl + F search tool to search, copy & replace the colors. I use that tool frequently. With all template formats & colors devised, you can now customize the entire page to your preferences.
  X~Calibur95   Lets go to Facebook!   06:29,11/8/2017    9,925
        I couldn't find the colors, even using the Ctrl + F function. UnofficialGameExpert78 02:30, November 14, 2017 (UTC)
Hi, apologies for the late reply. I had to take care of personal errands. I went ahead, switched all the colors & created Template:Heading/Fanon as well as Template:Main Page Fanon:Helping Out. This was done to make sure all the colors used are consistent with the new color theme. I also updated Template:Heading a little, to reflect the addition of new colors.

When changing colors, you will have to visit the template article itself that has all the code before using Ctrl + F to find the colors. Every link to the templates used on your Sandbox has been provided for you in this talk page section. With the exception of Template:Heading, feel free to experiment with the colors used on these new templates I created for you. It may help to google search the colors & play around with the color wheel. With enough testing, perhaps you may end up with colors that are much better than mine!
  X~Calibur95   Lets go to Facebook!   09:10,11/19/2017    9,925
I edited the colors. What do you think? UnofficialGameExpert78 (talk) 20:43, November 22, 2017 (UTC)

Great Work!Edit

Had it not been for your help in figuring out what colors to use, designing a separate homepage on fanmade material from scratch for this wiki would've taken much longer than I expected. I have reorganized everything on your sandbox to match the layout similar to the main page on this wiki. Your work looks promising, and I hope to see other improvements in the near future while waiting for the polls to reach at least 100 voters. Not only that, you helped make my work in this wiki much easier to manage, and it is for this reason that I'm interested in promoting you to moderator immediately! What do you think?

Shipwreck Edit

Sorry, I accidentally deleted your comment on the Shipwreck page. At any rate, I've created a disambiguation page now, to separate AoM shipwrecks from the AoEII map.Narve (talk) 05:13, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

That's okay, I believe I can restore the comment. However, it may be pointless, since the comment is no longer relevant. UnofficialGameExpert78 (talk) 13:22, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

I have restored the comment. However, I may delete it again at my discretion if I deem it unnecessary. After all, the comment I made is no longer relevant, since the appropriate changes have been made. UnofficialGameExpert78 (talk) 13:30, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

Wikipedia EditingEdit

I'm surprised you got blocked at Wikipedia for that without even knowing what happened during that time frame! Although its probably best just to wait out your block, what you could do is visiting a public location like your local library and create your own account there, if you don't have one yet and keep editing there until the block expired. You will be surprised by how many articles that needs improvement, and the library seems to be a great place for that due to the sheer volume of reliable references found nowhere online.

  SageCraft95   Lets send tribute!   07:17,4/26/2020    215

Thanks for the advice! I'll consider it. However, once the block runs out, how do I prevent people from accessing my family's IP address again? Do I use a VPN? UnofficialGameExpert78 (talk) 14:36, April 26, 2020 (UTC)

I don't know. You should ask one of their checkusers who are likely to help you out more than what I can do here.  SageCraft95   Lets send tribute!   01:05,5/7/2020    215

I actually appealed the decision, and apparently because the school laptop I was attempting to edit from uses a proxy, I was blocked from editing. The home computer works just fine. Thanks for the advice anyway! UnofficialGameExpert78 (talk) 02:20, May 7, 2020 (UTC)

Custom unit iconEdit

Hey, I've noticed you made a Definitive Edition custom unit icon for one of your unit concepts, how do you manage to do that? Dark Paladin X (talk) 19:18, June 7, 2020 (UTC)

Very carefully. Since I have no ability to model things, I just use preexisting renders and stitch them together to make something that resembles what I want. UnofficialGameExpert78 (talk) 21:53, June 7, 2020 (UTC)

Civilization tabs in blog postEdit

I'm planning to use the Template:Civilization_tabs template in several of my custom made fan civilizations in my blog post, do you think this may cause any problems in the wiki or not?--Dark Paladin X (talk) 19:08, June 20, 2020 (UTC)

I honestly have no idea. You should take it up with Narve and MasterBroccoliUnofficialGameExpert78 (talk) 22:15, June 20, 2020 (UTC)

Fanon Crafting Edit

Hi UnofficialGameExpert78 I also joined to the Crafting of hypothetic civs for AOE II, please take a look and give an opinion of my current craftings: --Papermaniac (talk) 08:41, July 7, 2020 (UTC)

Thanks! I'll take a look at these in depth sometime, but not right now, because I like to keep my ideas fresh and I want to come up with more Oceanic civilizations. All I know is that you and I had similar concepts for a Micronesian Castle Age unique tech, though mine was a bit more on the nose. Mine is also called Rai Stones, but in my case, it literally creates a Rai Stone in the center of the map that can change ownership by having units near it. It generates constant gold for the player that owns it. UnofficialGameExpert78 (talk) 13:32, July 7, 2020 (UTC)
