Update 143421 is an update in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, released on May 6, 2025. It released alongside the unlocking of the The Three Kingdoms expansion. It also includes a few minor fixes. The official patch notes also describe the changes in the previous patch, update 143191, which were not mentioned in its own official patch notes. The content of the expansion was added to the game several patches ago, in update 141935, but in an locked state.

- Fixed an issue that led to inconsistent display and processing of achieved campaign medals in different parts of the game.
- This change affects all campaign progress the way it was displayed in the previous version of the game. Medals will appear one tier higher for any campaign scenario that has been completed without cheats.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Armenians and Georgians profile icons from being unlocked and saved for Steam users.

- Fixed a crash happening upon entering the Historical Battles screen after obtaining a gold medal (crown) in any scenario.
