Spotlight[]
| “ | Yasuko may have lost her spear, but she can still wield some of Ame-no-Nuboko's magic from a distance, allowing her to heal injured units. However, to defeat Kagemasa in his Titan form, she must recover the spear. Once Yasuko recovers the spear, the blessing of Amaterasu will become stronger, allowing her to fight from a greater distance and deal more damage to enemy monsters. With such magic, Yasuko will be able to free Amaterasu from her prison! Kagemasa has been transformed into a Titan—an almighty myth unit that tramples walls and can battle entire armies with sweeping attacks. Outside of the campaign, the Titan can be accessed by researching Secrets of the Titans in the Mythic Age, placing a Titan Gate, and tasking villagers to uncover and unleash it. |

Players[]

Player[]
- Harumoto (
Amaterasu): Starts in the Heroic Age with Ame-no-Uzume and Hachiman worshipped.
Ally[]
- Kyūshū Villages (
Susanoo): There are five villages belonging to this player that are part of an optional objective. Bringing any allied unit to the flagged locations in each of the villages will convert their units to the player's side.
Enemy[]
- Kagemasa (
Susanoo): Consists of Kagemasa, who has become the monstrous Yamata no Orochi. He is nigh invulnerable to all damage until the final part of the scenario and is also accompanied by various Japanese myth units, such as Kamaitachi and Wanyūdō. - Shuten-Dōji (
Susanoo): Owns a large base in the center of the map, just north of the player's starting base. At the northernmost end is the spear Ame-no-Nuboko, which is guarded by Shuten Doji himself.

Due to losing the Ame-no-Nuboko, Yasuko will only be able to heal allies and cannot shield them or attack. Rather than building up an army, the player should immediately move to the village that Yamata no Orochi is attacking with their heroes and reach the flags. This would reward player with a large number of workers and soldiers. Quickly defeat the ambushing enemies and retreat back to base, except Harumoto, who should immediately move to the next village flag along the eastern path, while avoiding Yamata no Orochi. Send Sōjōbō alone to the next town along western path. The rest of the troops will be needed to defend the base. Both Harumoto and Sōjōbō should make their way to the northernmost village, while rescuing other villages along the way. There are major god statues near each village that spawn enemy myth units. Destroy them quickly to stop them from spawning. When the player reaches the northernmost village, a portal which leads back to the player's main base will appear. It can be used to evacuate the villagers/troops if needed.
Resources should be spent on aging up and building some Castles and/or towers to fend off Shuten-Doji's attacks. Don't forget to use Hachiman's Blessing (god power) on Harumoto to make him stronger.
Yamata no Orochi will move in a counterclockwise path across the map, destroying villages as he goes. This makes it looks like the player is on a clock, but realistically, even if Yamata no Orochi reaches the main base, a single hero and Yasuko (and a few more healers if needed) are enough to tank him indefinitely. Remember to lure him away from the buildings, though.
For the assault on Shuten-Doji's base, the player would need Onmyōji (15 should be enough) and any other units to tank for them like an Asura Overlord (Takemikazuchi minor god) if the player has favor to spare, or just Onna-musha and/or Samurai if low on favor. Make a forward base before the attack to replenish losses if necessary. Fight the way to Shuten-Doji and kill him to get the Ame-no-Nuboko back.
The final fight with Yamata no Orochi is easy, as the player can just cast Solar Shield on Yasuko to make her briefly invulnerable and then focus her fire on the Titan to kill him quickly, even when he has double the hit points and attack due to the Wonder Age effects.
Note: It is possible to "farm" Hatamoto Samurai by having Harumoto alone tank the Yamata no Orochi (with a healer or two behind), pull the Hatamoto Samurai out when they spawn, then repeat.
Trivia[]
- After completion of this scenario, a special closing cinematic will play, narrated by Athena. After this cinematic is completed and the player returns to the main menu, the Greek menu background will be shown.
- The artifacts shown in this cinematic are: Poseidon's Trident discarded in the ruins of Old Atlantis (referencing the Greek part of Fall of the Trident), the Guardian's Sword buried in the desert sands (referencing the Egyptian part of the same campaign), the Jeweled Stones of Nüwa on Mount Penglai (referencing Pillars of the Gods), Thor's hammer Mjölnir near corpses of giants (referencing the Norse part of Fall of the Trident), and finally Amaterasu's Ame-no-Nuboko. The final line mentions more artifacts out in the world, waiting to be found by heroes.
