Town Watch is a technology in Age of Empires III that can be researched by European and American civilizations at the Church (Mosque for the Ottomans, Meeting House for the United States, Cathedral for the Mexicans, Basilica for the Italians). Once researched, it increases the line of sight of all units by 3.
Town Watch is a highly important technology, as it allows for easier scouting of the map.
Civilization differences[]
- The Japanese can build a Church with Church Wagon shipment by allying with the Dutch at the Consulate. Thus, they can research Town Watch.
- The Ethiopians can gain access to the Church by allying with the Jesuits, while the Hausa can gain access to the Mosque by allying with the Moroccans. Both civilizations can research Town Watch for 120 influence.
