Tower is a Chinese addition technology in Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars that can be researched individually at each Military Camp and Machine Workshop. Once enhanced by a Tower, the building gains an attack and a Line of Sight identical to the Watch Tower line, with which it also shares its build limit. The Watch Tower technology is not required for it to be able to attack.
The Towers benefit from most technologies that improve defensive buildings, such as Line of Sight and Armory attack upgrades, and Crenellations, and they also gain attack and attack speed from the Watch Tower-line upgrades. They do not benefit from Boiling Oil, as they have no minimum range to start with, nor from myth technologies such as Advanced Defenses. They add the "Tower" unit type to the building.
A building enhanced by a Tower can be later switched to a Training Yard, at full cost.
