The Torii Gate is an unconstructible building in Age of Mythology: Retold - Heavenly Spear. It heals nearby friendly units, and is present in the Leave No Trace scenario of the Yasuko's Tale campaign to allow the player a convenient way to heal their naval units. Unlike what its description implies, it cannot be captured by other players, but only be attacked and destroyed. In the scenario, their ownership changes to the player via triggers.

Mythology[]
| โ | The torii gate is perhaps one of the most recognizable architectural features of Japan. Typically painted vermillion, torii gates mark the entrance to sacred Shintล shrines. Though there are many variations, a torii gate generally consists of two wooden pillars with two crossbeams spanning the top. The top crossbeam is usually slightly curved. Some of the most famous torii gates in Japan can be found at the Itsukushima Shrine, Fushimi Inari Taisha, and the Hakone Shrine. There are approximately 90,000 torii gates in Japan. |
