The Tibetan macaque is not usually found in Tibet at all, but rather in the high subtropical forests of China and Vietnam. A full-grown macaque has long grayish brown fur with whiskers and a beard, but an infant has a coat of silver and black that changes at the age of two. It is a very social animal, active during the day, and living in multi-male and multi-female groups.
