Thor's Hammer Head is a large rectangular stone carried on a wagon drawn by an ox. It is one of two pieces that make up Thor's new hammer, the other being Thor's Hammer Haft.
Overview[edit | edit source]
Prior to Gargarensis' invasion of the Norselands, Loki tricked Thor and smashed his hammer, Mjolnir, preventing him from interfering with the Cyclops' plans. The Dwarf brothers Brokk and Eitri were tasked into making him a new one, which becomes a significant plot element in the Fall of the Trident campaign.
Appearance in Campaigns[edit | edit source]
Thor's Hammer Head first appears as a cameo in the closing cinematic of The Well of Urd, with Brokk and Eitri escorting it while onlooking the campaign heroes' fight in taking control of the well. It reappears in Unlikely Heroes where Eitri is given the responsibility of looking after it while Brokk builds the hammer haft. Once the haft is complete, Brokk and Eitri must bring both pieces of the new Hammer together for it to assemble itself.
Unit[edit | edit source]
Similar to the Osiris Piece Box, Thor's Hammer Head is drawn by an animal and moves relatively slowly, though not as slow as the camels. It is indestructible but can be captured by enemies if insufficient numbers of friendly units surround it. Thankfully, this will not lead to a loss for the player as the enemy has no use for the Hammer Head and it can be recaptured.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Unlike Thor's Hammer Haft, it is not known from what material the Hammer Head is made of. It is likely made from a mineral harvested from the mines in The Dwarven Forge.
- Actually, while indeed created by Dwarves, it is mentioned in its history file to having being "fished from the fires of Muspelheim" (the land of Fire Giants).
- It is possible that Loki, who destroyed Thor's hammer, threw it in Muspelheim's lava, where the haft burned and the head remained intact, to be literally "fished" by the Dwarves.
