At the start of the Norman Campaign, William of Normandy sets forth on the hard-fought road to conquer England and become its new king. What follows is an epic story of succession, family conflict, anarchy, and rebellion.

The Normans is a campaign in Age of Empires IV. The player mainly plays as the English. The campaign is based on the history of Norman and Angevin England from 1066 to 1217, and is divided into four chapters.

Chapters[]

  1. Conquest — Follow William the Conqueror in his invasion of England and the Harrying of the North
  2. Possession — Lead the armies of Henry I to defend his claims to England and Normandy against his brother Robert Curthose and King Louis VI of France
  3. The Anarchy — Fight for the claim of Empress Matilda to the English throne against her rival King Stephen
  4. Rebellion — Defend the English crown in the First Barons' War
