The Grand Vizier is an Industrial Age politician in Age of Empires III only available to the Ottomans. As soon as the player advances to the Industrial Age by choosing him, three Guard Sipahis appear in the Home City shipment point.
Before the Definitive Edition, The Grand Vizier was only available at a level 20 Home City.
Strategy[]
The Sipahi is among the most powerful melee heavy cavalry units in the game. It is automatically upgraded with each age up, which mean that the player actually receives Guard Sipahis when aging up with the Grand Vizier. Sipahis are otherwise only obtainable from Home City shipments. One advantage The Grand Vizier has over shipping Sipahis is that all Sipahi shipments cost food, while aging up with The Grand Vizier does not cost any additional food.
The Grand Vizier can be a good follow-up politician if the player chose The Scout to advance to the Fortress Age, as they both provide cavalry units.

- Cavalry Combat: Cavalry get +15% hit points and attack.
- Advanced Arsenal.
- Sipahi shipments.
- Military unit shipments that may complement cavalry.
