Strategy[]
The Aztec Chief does not follow the general theme for this Tribal Council member. Instead he focuses on improving the Aztecs' treasure-gathering and military capabilities by granting their War Chief improved hit points and attack. Together with the War Chief Ceremony or War Ceremony, the Aztec War Chief will be able to mow down masses of Treasure Guardians, or soak up enemy fire while the rest of the Aztec army attacks.
The Haudenosaunee Chief ships additional villagers. This makes him useful for boom strategies or to make up for falling behind economically due to focusing on other strategies. Regardless of the situation, more villagers are always useful.
The Inca Chief ships Travois, effectively serving as a counterpart to the Haudenosaunee Elder, or to The Bishop in the Fortress Age. The Town Travois he ships can be used to build an additional Town Center, speeding up the rate at which villagers are trained, while the Stronghold Travois can be used to strengthen a town's defenses or as a forward base. It should be noted, however, that the normal Builder Travois he ships can only construct six buildings: the Community Plaza or a Kancha House, Market, Farm, Dock, or Tambo. It may be better to delay aging up with the Chief until the Industrial Age, when the number of buildings that can be built can be expanded by researching the Viracocha Worship Big Button improvement. Viracocha Worship enables them to build all buildings, including Strongholds, thus making the Builder Travois even more useful than the Stronghold Travois.
The Lakota Chief ships wood, effectively serving as a counterpart to The Quartermaster. As with the Quartermaster, the Lakota Chief can save a lot of chopping time. The wood shipped can be used for either military buildings or upgrades, greatly increasing the power of the Lakota military, or pay for a Farm or Estate and their resource-boosting improvements.
