The Black Prince is a cavalry hero available in the Scenario Editor in Age of Empires II. He is based on English royal Edward of Woodstock who took the title The Black Prince as a nickname and is best known for being a key figure during the Hundred Years' War for his victories over the French at the Battles of Crécy and Poitiers.
In-game, he is represented by a Cavalier. Like other cavalry, The Black Prince is affected by all technologies that affect cavalry as well as any other bonuses that affect them. As a hero, he cannot be converted and can regenerate health (since The Conquerors).
