The Accursed Tower is an unconstructable tower in Age of Empires II. It has a very long range (which can even be increased with the Fletching line upgrades) and is very bulky. Like heroes, The Accursed Tower can regenerate hit points and cannot be converted.
The Accursed Tower is only available in the Scenario Editor (under the Other tab).
Campaign appearances Edit
- The Lion and the Demon: One Accursed Tower defends the walls in the north of Acre. It's 'little brother', The Tower of Flies, can also be found in Acre, defending the Docks in the south from crusader attacks.
- Reconquista: At the African shore, Yusuf controls the 'Tower of Desolation', which is a renamed Accursed Tower. The Tower of Flies is also featured, renamed 'Tower of Despair'.
- The design of the Accursed Tower and its cousin, the Tower of Flies, uses the old Western European Guard Tower sprites.
- The Accursed Tower and The Tower of Flies are most likely revisits of the Mirror Tower, from The Rise of Rome, which was in development around the time The Age of Kings was also in development.
