The Terracotta Rider is a cavalry unit available to the Chinese in Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars. It can be summoned in groups of six at each Town Center exactly once at any point of the game using the Summon Terracotta Riders technology. It continually loses hit points until left with 1 hit point.

Special abilities

History

“	The Terracotta Rider is a member of the Terracotta Army, sworn to protect Emperor Qin Shi Huang. These figures were buried alongside the emperor in his tomb in 221 BCE and remained undiscovered for over 2,000 years. Legend holds that the tomb was equipped with a variety of booby traps which, along with the imposing army, were designed to dissuade prospective looters and grave-robbers. Terracotta Riders are extremely protective of Favored Land and are an effective defense force against raiders who threaten a Chinese town.	”

  • The green glow around the unit's body in its icon is used only for myth units, which hints at its originally intended type.
  • The Terracotta Warrior in Tale of the Dragon was a myth unit.
