In Age of Empires IV, tents are unconstructable buildings available in various campaign scenarios. They appear in several varieties.

Military Tent[]

โ€œ Increases your maximum Population. โ€
Age of Empires IV description

The Military Tent appears in several campaigns, including The Hundred Years War and The Sultans Ascend. In some scenarios, it provides population, but in others, including The Siege of Acre, it is purely cosmetic. It is available in two variants that are statistically identical.

Leader Tent[]

โ€œ This is where your leader will revive after dying. โ€
Age of Empires IV description

In the The Sultans Ascend campaign, leaders no longer need to be revived by units once they lose all of their hit points. Rather, they disappear from the battlefield and will respawn directly outside the Leader Tent in 60 seconds. The Leader Tent cannot be attacked by enemies or deleted. It appears in every scenario with a leader, specifically: The Defense of Tyre, Into Egypt, The Horns of Hattin, The Battle of Mansurah, and The Battle of Ayn Jalut.

Headquarters[]

The Headquarters is a large tent similar to the Leaders Tent that appears under the control of the enemy Franks in the scenario The Battle of Mansurah of the campaign The Sultans Ascend. Destroying it is the player's primary objective.
