| —In-game description | ||
Tempest is a Norse Heroic Age god power in Age of Mythology: Retold - New Gods Pack: Freyr that is available to worshipers of Aegir. When invoked, it changes the lighting of the whole map to appear wintry, and begins a rain of large icicles at the targeted location which damages units, slows down their movement speed, and increases their reload time. The god power may also freeze enemy units caught in the storm.
Effect[]
Summons an ice storm, composed of about 140 ice shards, that randomly strike targets within a 17 radius. Each shard inflicts 5
pierce / 5
divine damage (3ร vs. buildings, 0.25ร vs. workers). Each hit decreases the target's movement and attack speed cumulatively by 20% for 11 seconds. Upon being hit 5 times in this window, the target is completely frozen for 20 seconds. Titans are neither frozen nor receive damage from Tempest. Frozen units do not receive any extra armor, unlike the effects of Frost. Tempest has no effect whatsoever on friendly units and buildings, or on any player's flying units.

Compendium[]
| โ | Aegir's God Power hurls a vicious hailstorm upon your enemies. The hailstorm slows enemy units significantly, but only damages them slightly. While you can rarely destroy an enemy army with Tempest alone, the hailstorm creates a perfect opportunity for your own army to pounce on it. To call down the Tempest, left click on the Tempest icon at the top of the screen, then left click near the enemy units that you want to batter with it. |
