Tatara is a unique technology in Age of Empires IV: The Sultans Ascend available to the Japanese and Sengoku Daimyo. It precedes Hizukuri (which is the equivalent of Bloomery available to other civilizations) and can be researched at the Forge starting in the Dark Age. It increases the melee damage of all non-siege units by +1.
