Svan Towers is a technology in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - The Mountain Royals that is unique to the Georgians and available at the Castle once the Castle Age is reached. Once researched, their defensive buildings have +2 attack, and towers fire arrows that pierce multiple units.

When it comes to defenses, towers are less effective than Castles in dealing with enemy units, as they have less attack and shoot only one arrow instead of five (when ungarrisoned). With Svan Towers researched, a group of towers is much more devastating to a group of approaching enemy units, as the projectiles damage multiple units, similarly to a Scorpion, Ghulam, or Chakram Thrower.

Svan towers are the tower houses built as defensive dwellings in the Georgian historical region of Svaneti. These towers are unique to the region and were primarily built between the 9th and 12th centuries, during the Georgian Golden Age.
