The Sumerians are a siege civilization with a strong economy.
Strengths[]
The Sumerians have a great economy, as not only do their Villagers have more hit points, but their Farms provide more food. This allows the Sumerians to save more wood in the long run. Their Villagers having more hit points means they can survive hostile animals like Lions better. Their Stone Thrower-line units fire faster, allowing the Sumerians to tear down enemy defenses easily. Their Camel Riders have +1 pierce armor. The Sumerians have access to Chariots, Chariot Archers, and Centurions, and have all of the defensive upgrades they need.
Their team bonus reduced the wood cost for allied Town Centers by -25%.
Weaknesses[]
Apart from Centurions, their other foot soldiers are poor, as they lack the Improved Bowman and Legionary. In addition, they lack Iron Shield and Tower Shield for their infantry, and the lack of Metallurgy weakens their melee units' offensive power. The lack of Craftsmanship means their Chariot Archers and Heavy Horse Archers will have less range. While their navy is serviceable, the lack of Catapult Triremes makes the Sumerians less desirable to siege down enemy coastal defenses. Their Priests are lacking several key technologies, with Mysticism, Polytheism, Theocracy, and Medicine being the only technologies available to them.
Despite their siege classification, they lack Ballistas. This makes dealing with large number of infantry and foot archers a challenge for the Sumerians.
