The Stone Wall is a wall in Chronicles that becomes available once the Civic Age is reached. Stone Walls are much stronger than Palisade Walls, although costlier and take longer to build. The Stone Wall can be upgraded to the Fortified Wall at the Academy in the Classical Age. Walls can be inset with Gates and Palisade Gates to allow friendly units through and keep other units and animals out, unless the Gate is held open. Gates can also be placed on top of finished walls to replace them (the resources spent on the wall pieces are fully lost). Placing Palisade Gates on Stone Walls is not preferable, as palisade structures are far weaker than stone ones.

It is identical to the Stone Wall and Fortified Wall in Age of Empires II.
