Stone is one of the resources the player collects for Age of Empires and Age of Empires II. Stone is used for buildings and siege units.
Ways to get stone
Mining
Stone mines: Similar to gold mines. Not found in abundance on most maps. Usually found in groups of 2-5. Each one yields 350 stone.
Markets
Markets: You can trade gold for stone or stone for gold.
