Steppe Lancers is a unique Mongol technology in Age of Empires IV, introduced in update 7.0.5861. It can be researched at the Stable starting in the Castle Age*. It increases Keshik regeneration by +1 hit point per attack, and increases their attack speed by 10%.
It shares its icon and effects with Sarai Lancers, though the latter also affects Torguuds.
Steppe Lancers (Improved): additionally costs 500 stone, Keshiks gain an additional +1 hit point with every attack (+2 total) and their attack speed is further increased by 5% (+15% total). It is also granted for free to Mercenary Keshiks for the Byzantines when they advance to the Imperial Age with the Foreign Engineering Company.

- Originally, Steppe Lancers was an Imperial Age technology. With patch 8.2.218, standard (non-Improved) Steppe Lancers was moved to the Castle Age.
