Villager attack and hitpoints increased.
—In-game description

Spirit Medicine is a technology in Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs that can be researched by Native American civilizations at the Market. Once researched, it increases the hit points of villagers by 35%, damage by 3, Line of Sight and ranged attack range by 4, as well as units affected by villager upgrades hit points by 10%, damage by 1, and Line of Sight by 2.

Note that Fishing Boats are affected by Spirit Medicine since they are classified as villagers, although they do not benefit from the attack increase since they have no attack.
