Spice Roads is a unique technology available to the Abbasid Dynasty in Age of Empires IV that can be researched at the House of Wisdom (with the Trade Wing upgrade) starting in the Imperial Age*. It causes Traders and Trade Ships to return 30% more gold. The wood return of Trade Ships is not affected.
While in Golden Age Tier 2/3, the research speed of this technology is +15%/+20%, respectively. If Preservation of Knowledge has been researched, this technology costs -20%.

- Originally, Spice Roads cost 100 food, 250 gold and was available in the Feudal Age. With the Season One Update, it costs 300 food, 700 gold and is available in the Imperial Age.
