The Sparabara is an untrainable infantry unit in Chronicles: Battle for Greece. It is present in campaign scenarios and is available in the Scenario Editor.
Ability[]
Much like the similarly-named unique technology Sparabaras, it has an aura which grants +2 pierce armor to all units of the player in a three tile radius. Its aura does not benefit allies.

- Greeks Bearing Gifts: Sparabaras are employed by bandits trying to capture the Achaemenid supply carts.
- The Ionian Revolt: One Sparabara is present in every Persian Town garrison, deployed again when the town is captured by Artaphernes' forces.
- A City Ablaze: Sparabaras protect the Acropolis of Sardis and will assist Artaphernes in retaking the city.
- The Battle of Marathon: The Persian army under Datis fields a large number of Sparabaras. There are also a few Sparabara Overseers as modified Sparabara hero units.
- The Hot Gates: Persian land forces at Thermopylae employ Sparabaras.
- Divine Salamis: Sparabaras are deployed in Persian landing parties.
- Across the Wine-Dark Sea: The Persian Army in Cyprus fields Sparabaras.
- Wrath of the Regent: Sparabaras defend the city of Byzantium.
