Strategy[]
The son of Osiris cannot move on the same turn the god power was cast, so players are advised to make use of their hero before converting it. When converted, all of the hero's HP is also restored so players should have their Priests' heal other wounded units.
The son of Osiris is the most powerful hero in the game. With its high attack, HP and mobility, it is capable of taking on multiple units on its own. As a heavy infantry type unit, it is also effective against multiple types of units, notably light infantry, siege and archer type units, as well as buildings. As a hero, it also deals enough damage to kill most myth units with one attack. Players must choose carefully before summoning the son of Osiris as he will return to his former state after 10 turns. To maximize his lifespan, son of Osiris should be cast on a hero that is already engaged in battle so that it does not have to waste time moving towards the battlefield. Depending on who is dominating the map, an enemy may either focus all of their attack onto the son of Osiris or run away from it to stall for time. The son of Osiris should always be guarded by support units that can either protect it from attacks, especially from cavalry units who do bonus damage against it, or help it track down its targets by blocking escape routes.
Son of Osiris has the highest potential for worshipers of Ra who has access to four researches and bonuses that improve it. Also, if Thoth is worshiped, the hero's lifespan can essentially be doubled by casting the Book of Thoth god power.
Trivia[]
- Once the son of Osiris changes back into its original hero, it will be unable to move for that turn if it had already moved on the turn it was converted.
- Unlike its Age of Mythology counterpart, this son of Osiris uses a melee attack rather than a ranged attack.
- despite being female, Hatshepsut will turn into a male once the son of osiris power is activated
