Somali Oryx Hide Shields is a technology in Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition - The African Royals that can be researched at a Trading Post or Tambo built on a Somali kingdom. Once researched, it increases the ranged resistance of all infantry by 5% and reduces the cost of hand infantry by 10%. Desert Warriors, Azaps, and Pavisiers get +5% resistance in all stances.

For banner armies, it reduces the wood costs of the Old Han Army and Ming Army by 10%, and reduces the food costs of the Territorial Army and Black Flag Army by 10% (Qiang Pikeman costs wood only and Changdao Swordsman costs food only).
