The Somali Darood Militia is a native warrior infantry strong against artillery and ships. It has range and siege dual resist, so it can withstand some attacks from both ranged and siege assault.
Although they have siege resistance and multipliers against artillery and ships, most of them have 75% range resistance, which allows them to retaliate against Somali Darood Militias.
Artillery like Falconets can still kill them in one hit because of the damage multiplier against infantry. Unlike Arrow Knights, Somali Darood Militias do not have a tag that nullifies the attack multiplier of artillery, so a decent amount of artillery can still wipe out a group of Somali Darood Militias if they are not supported by other units.
Since they are tagged as rifle infantry, they can benefit from Counter Infantry Rifling technology. This means Somali Darood Militia can be like an extra-ranged Skirmisher that is also strong against artillery.
Upgrades Somali Darood Militia and Somali Issa Warriors to Champion (+35% hit points and attack, +1 ranged attack range); requires Somali Warrior Societies
Ranged infantry get +10% damage; French and Hausa-only ranged infantry get +15% damage instead

Update 14.43676: Somali Darood Militia ranged damage changed from 14 to 11, increased damage multiplier for Artillery to 3x (from 2x), for Ships to 6x (from 4x) and both of them for the hand attack to remain consistent with the ranged multipliers.
