Effect
Town Center gains +3000 HP, +3 fire armor, a Cannon Emplacement. Spawns 1 Villager. Farmers within Town Center aura work +20% faster. Maximum number of Bannermen increased by +3.

Shogunate Castle is a unique upgrade for a Town Center that has been upgraded into a Daimyo Palace in Age of Empires IV: The Sultans Ascend, available to the Japanese. It increases the maximum number of Samurai Bannerman that can be created by +3, and provides a free Villager. Additionally, it upgrades the Daimyo Palace at which it is researched to a Shogunate Castle, which has +3,000 hit points, a Cannon Emplacement, +3 fire armor, and enhances the bonus of the Daimyo Farm Aura by +20% (+60% total).

Enriched Farmland (Passive): Increases the harvest rate of Villagers from Farms within a 10-tile radius by +60%.

Changelog

• Originally, the upgrade added a Rocket Emplacement which had a 9 range of tiles. With patch 9.2.628, this was replaced by a Cannon Emplacement and the range was reduced to 8 tiles. The description of the technology still mentions a Rocket Emplacement, however.
• Originally, the additional Farm gathering rate boost was +25%. With update 12.0.1974, this was reduced to +20% (+60% total with Daimyo Manor and Daimyo Palace).
