This article is about the goddess in Age of Empires: Mythologies. For the god in Age of Mythology, see Sekhmet.

Sekhmet is the goddess of blood and an Egyptian minor god in Age of Empires: Mythologies. She is solely available to worshipers of Set.

Attributes[]

God power[]

  • Citadel: Sekhmet's Citadel power replaces a targeted Town Center with the powerful Citadel, a more durable and protected structure which provides substantially more resources per turn.

Bonuses[]

  • Buildings gain +10% HP
  • Human Siege gain +10% HP

Technologies[]

  • Fortified Defense (25 food, 25 gold, 15 favor): Human Units deal 15% more damage when they counterattack while on the same tile as a friendly Building.
  • West Wind Ram (25 food, 25 gold, 15 favor): Human Siege gain +15% Attack.
  • Tide of War (25 food, 25 gold, 15 favor): Heroes and Scarabs regenerate +5% of their HP at the end of the player's turn.
  • Golden Scarabs (80 food, 120 gold, 40 favor): Scarabs gain +10% HP, +10% Attack and +5% Defense.

Myth Unit[]

  • Scarab: Slow but powerful giant beetles that act like organic siege weapons.

Strategy[]

Sekhmet should only be selected if the player is forced into a defensive position and may be fighting close to their town center. Her buildings, especially the town center, are made stronger. They also enable Human Units (but not Heroes or Myth Units) to regenerate more HP if Fortified Defense is researched, but that is very situational. Sekhmet also strengthens Siege Units, especially the Scarabs she provides. They are more durable than the Catapult but lack a ranged attack, meaning they are forced to close in onto a building to be effective. They are also very slow, which makes them dangerously vulnerable to counterattacks before they can even reach an enemy building. Siege units are typically strong enough without her researches and bonuses as well, so they do not contribute as much as those of other gods. Nonetheless, Sekhmet grants players a chance to hit hard if they manage to recover from an enemy attack.
