Scale Armor Archers is a technology in Age of Empires that can be researched at the Storage Pit once the Bronze Age is reached. Once researched, it increases the armor of all archer units by +2, giving them more resistance to melee attacks.
Chain Mail Archers is the further upgrade of this technology.
