Saint Francis is a Priest-like cheat unit in Age of Empires: The Rise of Rome, who can be spawned only by typing "Convert This!" into the chat box. He looks like a Priest, but is much more powerful and cannot convert or heal individual units. His statistics can be upgraded as with a normal Priest. He is also available in the Scenario Editor (since the Definitive Edition only).

His attacks land instantly and always accurately as he invokes a lightning bolt from the heavens on a single target. Elevation also affects damage done (+25% from higher elevation, -25% from lower).

• Saint Francis refers to a saint living in the 12th century, which is not in the period on which Age of Empires is based.
• Unlike Priests, he can be converted without researching Monotheism.
