Royal Tax is a technology available in Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition - Knights of the Mediterranean that can be researched at a Trading Post or Tambo built on a House of Bourbon palace. Once researched, it gives 35 coin for each building owned by the player (up to a maximum of 10,000 coin, or 500 buildings).
The technology can be made available at the Native Embassy by shipping the "Ancien Régime" Home City Card as the French, which also converts the player's Native Embassies to Royal Embassies.

- Originally, Royal Tax gave 20 coin for each building owned by the player. With update 13.18214, it gives 35 coin for each building owned by the player.
