Trivia[]
- Its real life counterpart is the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
Changelog[]
- Originally, technologies were 20% cheaper to research at the Royal Institute. With Season Two Update 17718, they are 30% cheaper to research.
- With update 7.0.5861, Long Guns and Merchant Guilds were added to the Royal Institute.
Campaign version[]
Because the original four campaigns have not been rebalanced since the release of the game, The Royal Institute does not have the same effect in The Hundred Years War. There, it has the same influence as a French Keep, but applying to unit upgrades as well. That is, it has an 8 x 8 influence area, and Archery Ranges and Stables in its influence have both their unit cost and unit upgrade cost decreased by 20%. The Royal Institute can also garrison three Relics.
