Royal Bloodlines is a unique technology available to the French and Jeanne d'Arc in Age of Empires IV that can be researched at the University in the Imperial Age or at the Royal Institute (for -30% cost) starting in the Castle Age. It replaces Biology. Once researched, the maximum hit points of all cavalry is increased by +35%.
It is also granted for free to Mercenary Royal Knights for the Byzantines when they advance to the Imperial Age with the Foreign Engineering Company. It does not stack with the standard Bloodlines technology and only affects Royal Knights, not any other Byzantine or mercenary cavalry.

- Originally, Royal Bloodlines increased cavalry hit points by 35%. With update 12.0.1974, the bonus increased to +40%. With patch 12.1.2454 it was reduced back to +35%
