“ | Nüba encases myth units in gravel shields, increasing their armor, especially while standing still. | ” |
—In-game description |
Rock Solid is a Chinese myth technology in Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars that is available to worshipers of Nüba and can be researched at the Temple. Once researched, it increases the hack and pierce resistances of the player's myth units (except Titans), and also grants them the Rock Solid ability, which causes them to gain more armor over time while they are standing still. The gained armor decays only when they move. If they stand in place and fight, the effect pauses, neither increasing nor decaying.
Aesthetically, myth units gain a vortex of rocks surrounding them, which is absent if they have no stillness bonus, and gradually increases as they stand in place and gain the effect.
Effects[]
Changelog[]
Immortal Pillars[]
- Initially, idle myth units could gain up to 60% vulnerability reduction while idle. With update 18.12962, the maximum reduction was decreased to 40%.
- Initially, any myth units which were not moving, even if they were standing in one spot and fighting, gained the increasing armor effect of Rock Solid. With update 18.12962, the stillness bonus is gained only if standing still without any action, and decays only if moving. A unit standing still and performing an action neither gains nor loses further armor.
