The Rhea is a huntable animal in Age of Empires III. It is a large flightless bird, living in the South American maps Pampas and Patagonia. It has 20 hit points, and holds 400 food.
History
“ | Scientific Name: Rhea americana; Pterocnemia pennata Approx. Size: 5 ft. at the shoulder, 50 lb. Diet: Grasses, herbs, roots, insects Rheas are tall, flightless birds that live in South America. They resemble ostriches, but lack the ostriches' full tail plumage. Rheas have grayish brown feathers and white underbellies. When mating, male rheas assemble a flock of females and then construct and incubate a nest that can contain dozens of eggs. After the eggs are hatched the male cares for the hatchlings until they are able to defend themselves. As adults, rheas have few predators other than man. | ” |
