The Regent's Castle is a defensive building only available on the Regicide map in Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties.

Overview

Due to its moderate durability, the Regent's Castle is a good (yet obvious) place to garrison a Regent early in the game. The building boasts a fair amount of hit points, three times more than an Outpost. The Regent's Castle's ranged attack is fairly weak, however, and will not simply be enough to fight off later enemy raids, especially with artillery.

Definitive Edition

• The Regent's Castle can reveal stealth enemies and is tagged as Frontier fortification.
• With update 13088, the Regent's Castle has a ×1.3 ranged multiplier against shock infantry.
