The Battle of Red Cliffs is one of the most famous naval battles in Chinese history. Fought during the Three Kingdoms period, the battle pitted three major warlords against one another: on one side, Cao Cao, who fought against an alliance between Liu Bei and Sun Quan. Despite being vastly outnumbered, Liu Bei and Sun Quan outmaneuvered Cao Cao’s massive army by using a clever fire attack that reduced his fleet to ashes.

Before update 18.12962, the in-game effect description wrongly indicated that a Mengchong was spawned whenever the player lost three of them, when the actual effect was any naval units counted for this. The description was corrected in the update.
