The Recognizer is a hidden unit in Age of Mythology. To enable the Recognizer for Scenario Editor usage, one must look for and remove the <flag>NotPlayerPlaceable</flag> under its definition in the Proto XML file. It is not present in Retold.
The Recognizer uses the same icon as the Hippikon. While an anim file exists, the models and textures do not, so the unit is invisible, It also does not appear in the minimap. The purpose of this unit is unknown, but given its name, speed, and Line of Sight, it might have been intended as an invisible scout unit for campaign use.

- The unit's name and rollover text are a reference to large hovering vehicles of the same name from the 1982 sci-fi film Tron.
